Tourists to flock to 'Partyslava' for New Year's Eve

Many UK tourists are expected to be bookingAccording to the Slovak tourist board, over 100,000 people took to the streets of the capital to see in 2008 and similar scenes are expected this year.
The main square is set to be the centre of the street party, as the city sets out to live up to its nickname once again with rock and pop bands entertaining the crowds from the middle of the afternoon.
In the neighbouring Hviezdoslav Square, "the area in front of the National Opera House becomes a large dance floor with DJs playing various genres of music", according to the tourist board.

Those looking to see out the final minutes of 2008 in style will not be disappointed if they book as the party culminates in a fireworks display launched from boats in the middle of the Danube.
