Tourists who regularly book flights to Dubai and other destinations with Qatar Airways could be set to experience a trip on a Boeing 777.

One of theses models - which are the carrier's flagship planes - was on display at the Bahrain International Air Show.

The event was held at the Sakhir Air Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where it was noted almost a quarter of the firm's fleet is made up of these craft.

Business class passengers flying on such a plane will be seated in a 2-2-2 configuration, which is one less seat per row than many other carriers.

"We were extremely delighted to showcase our flagship Boeing 777 aircraft in Bahrain giving people an opportunity to see the aircraft and its wonderful features first hand during the static display," commented chief executive of Qatar Akbar Al Baker.

Travellers on United Airlines may also benefit from similar seating arraignments, as it was recently announced Boeing 777s will be covering some of its routes to Africa.
