Brits who are looking to take a city break to an iconic destination could consider taking flights to Paris. This is because travel presenter on the Alan Titchmarsh show, author and travel writer Sarah Woods explained Paris is the ideal location in Europe for this type of holiday.
She explained the imagery of attractions such as the Eiffel Tower are familiar to everyone, even if they have never been to France.
There is a stronger demand for visiting this kind of destination than ever before, according to the expert, who said the city has "captured our hearts and imaginations".
"It used to have a romantic tag but now with things like Eurodisney, it has had to broaden its tourist appeal," Ms Woods remarked.
Cinema buffs who are staying in the French capital could consider making a trip to a new nightclub opened by filmmaker David Lynch, which is inspired by his 2001 feature Mulholland Drive.
