Oman Air recognised for high standards

Posted on: 24 January 2012

Those who regularly book flights to Abu Dhabi and other destinations with Oman Air may notice an improvement in the standard of service delivered by the carrier.

This is because the airline has been awarded official four-star status following the recent Skytrax Airline Quality Audit.

A period of growth and development preceded the award, which saw the carrier introduce several new Airbus A330 planes to its services.

Passengers on Gulf Air flights may be familiar with this model, as this firm expanded its services to Kathmandu, with the additional services accounted for by A330s.

"Oman Air's fleet of modern, spacious and comfortable aircraft continues to grow, our network includes 40 destinations and will expand further over the course of this year," commented chief executive of Oman Air Peter Hill.

He also noted his organisation offers inflight entertainment, in addition to first class and business classes and having recently launched online check-in services.
