Next year sees the Winter Olympics come to Turin and whether you head there to enjoy the sport or go before the event there is plenty on offer. The games start with the official opening ceremony on February 10th and last until February 26th.
There are many events to see from the excitement of the ski jumping to the speed of the bobsleigh or the grace of the figure skating.
Turin is always worth visiting whether just for a city break or if you are heading up into the Alps for a bit of skiing.
The distinct piazzas and palaces of the city make exploring really fun and the high number of great restaurants, bars and cafes means if you get tired there is always somewhere you can pop to.
Turin is also a city of art and there are plenty of museums and galleries that you can find to explore medieval times, cinema, ancient Egypt and many more styles and eras.
For modern art the place to head is the wonderful Baroque Castello di Rivoli, which holds the Museo di Arte Contemporanea.
