Posted on: 10 June 2010

Icelandair has announced that it will extend its range of flights to Reykjavik from the UK this autumn.

From September 14th to October 26th, the carrier will operate an extra weekly connection to the Icelandic capital from Manchester and Glasgow airports.

People travelling from the UK will be able to choose from five flights per week, which will be available on every day except Thursdays and Sundays.

Services will operate on a triangular route, going from Reykjavik to Manchester and on to Glasgow before returning to the airline's hub in Iceland.

Hjorvar Saeberg Hognason, Icelandair's general manager in the UK and Ireland, said: "We are pleased to expand our service from Glasgow and Manchester to Iceland and our North American destinations this autumn, which is one of the best times to visit Iceland."

Travellers can use the carrier's service to Reykjavik to connect to its flights to Toronto, Seattle, New York City and other destinations in North America.
