Free holiday attractions announced in Auburn

Holidaymakers booking cheap flights to the state of New York this Christmas might want to consider heading to Auburn to take in some of the free attractions on offer.

The city is one possible destination for people who are planning on using car hire to explore the state by road and the Cayuga County Office of Tourism notes many attractions n Auburn will be free to enter on December 11th - the second Sunday of the month.

This annual open house day has become a tradition since its inception over 30 years ago and among the attractions taking part this year are the Cayuga Museum and the Seward House Museum.

Both venues will be adorned with decorations for the festive season and Seward House - open from midday to 17:00 local time - will be putting on live musical performances.

Some museums are also free to enter in Baltimore and the Maryland Office of Tourism recently highlighted the Baltimore Museum of Art as one of the city's most prestigious free attractions.
