Tourists who regularly book flights to Dubai and other destinations with Emirates Airlines may be able to benefit from an expansion to the firm's frequent flier initiative. It has announced the points benefits from this scheme can now be shared across its flights, in addition to those of Alaska Airlines.
Emirates is to launch its first flights to Seattle on March 1st and it was noted this presents a strong opportunity to form this kind of alliance with the city's home carrier.
"The convenience of a frequent flier partnership as well as one-stop check-in and through checked baggage [will provide] easier access to a vast range of points across the United States, Canada and Mexico," commented Nigel Page, senior vice-president of commercial operations for the Americas with Emirates.
Further expansion will also be taking place on the airline's routes, as it recently launched flights to Dallas to its portfolio of destinations.
