Dance festival tempts city break visitors to Barcelona

City break visitors arriving in Barcelona this summer can enjoy a free dance festival, which will include presentations, workshops and performances.

As part of the annual Barcelona Grec Festival, Dies de Danza will use public buildings, parks, streets and squares as performance spaces for professional dancers from July 1st to 6th.

The short daytime performances will include dancers from more than 25 international and local groups; while at night there will be special outdoor video projections to accompany each piece, as well as several bars and chill-out zones.

There is also a parallel series of workshops, where budding dancers can learn from professional choreographers.

Those visiting later in the summer can catch other cultural events as part of Barcelona Grec Festival, which runs until the end of July.

City break visitors can catch flights to Barcelona with a range of airlines, including British Airways, Iberia, Air France and Lufthansa.
