Czech Airlines initiates self-service check-in in Prague

Posted on: 30 November 2009

Passengers booking flights with Czech Airlines will be pleased to learn that self-service check-in is now available for those departing from Ruzyne Airport in Prague.

Following their successful introduction in the Czech capital, the carrier is planning to install similar kiosks at London Heathrow from November 30th.

Some nine self-service kiosks have been made available for Czech Airlines passengers in Prague's Ruzyne's Terminal 1, part of the carrier's e-check-in project.

"The introduction of this service is a logical outcome of Czech Airlines' striving to keep up with worldwide developments and to apply cutting edge technologies that can bring passengers greater convenience as well as aid the company in the development of other services and products," explained Peter Jusko, Czech Airline's vice president of operational services.

Passengers can use the self-service check-in kiosks as long as they possess an electronic ticket and the relevant travel documents.

Czech Airlines recently began operating solely from Terminal 4 at Heathrow Airport. This follows a move from Terminal 2 and will allow it to open the new self-service kiosks later this month.
