People taking city breaks in Boston this year will have the opportunity to take part in Harborfest, one of the destination's most popular annual events.The six-day celebration of the 4th of July and Boston's proud maritime heritage will run from June 30th to July 5th this year.
More than 200 daily events are arranged, many of which take place around City Hall and in the downtown and waterfront districts.
Travellers enjoying city breaks in Boston will be able to experience Children's Day on July 1st, which features a range of entertaining and educational activities presented by organisations such as the USS Constitution Museum and Historic New England.
Another highlight of the festival is Chowderfest, which brings together a number of restaurants and dining establishments in a competition to create the best chowder - a soup dish that traditional contains clams, as well as other meats, seafood and vegetables.
Carriers including KLM, Virgin Atlantic and Air Canada operate flights to Boston from the UK.
