Celebrate Gypsy culture in Prague this month

City break visitors heading to Prague later this month can enjoy a vibrant celebration of gypsy culture in the form of the 13th annual Khamoro World Roma Festival.The Czech capital will be alive to the vibrant sounds and art forms of the Romany people, including traditional and classical music, films, theatre, literature, dance and art.
Several selected venues across the city, including the Prague Congress Centre, will be taking part in this six-day event, which starts on May 23rd.
Romany gypsies, or travelling people, have a unique culture that is not defined by the geographical boundaries of modern states and the purpose of this annual festival is to create a better dialogue and greater understanding amongst the Czech people.
