Book flights to San Francisco to Dine About Town

Travellers who enjoy adding a culinary twist to their holidays can book flights to San Francisco to attend a major event in the city this year.

The San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau (SFCVB) confirmed that Dine About Town will return from June 1st to 15th.

During the promotion, several dining establishments across the city will serve two-course lunches for a set price of $17.95 (£11.65) and three-course dinners for $34.95, offering savings of up to 25 per cent.

A number of new restaurants will take part in the event this year, including Bisou French Bistro, Credo, the Eagle Cafe and Pera.

Joe D'Alessandro, president of the SFCVB, said: "For the past nine years, Dine About Town has continued to drive revenue during what were once considered slower periods for restaurants in San Francisco.

"Despite the present economy, dining out remains one of the city's top attractions. In 2009 alone, Dine About Town generated more than $1.5 million in incremental restaurant revenue. We expect that number to be even higher in 2010."

Travellers can book flights to San Francisco with carriers such as US Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Delta Airlines.
