American flyers offered in-flight street party

Brits looking to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29th and kick-start their short break in America can enjoy a special in-flight street party with Virgin Atlantic.

The international air carrier is offering passengers flying out of Britain on the big day a taste of the regal festivities.

All flights to the USA and the Caribbean will feature afternoon tea with wedding cake, as well as Kate and William themed love hearts and ice cream.

To help you get into the festive spirit, the cabins will be decorated with bunting and union jack headrests, while Upper Class passengers will be able to pick from a selection of wedding favours from the bar.

Simon Soni, head of inflight services at Virgin Atlantic, said: "We are really excited to be doing something special for our passengers and crew on this historic day. We are hoping that these extra special touches will make the flight really memorable."

Virgin Atlantic flies to several key US city break destinations, including New York, Chicago and Miami.
