Consumers who book flights with a range of airlines but then find they are unable to travel may still be able to enjoy their break thanks to Czech Airlines.

The carrier has revealed that anyone in this situation who has paid for trips with a selected group of companies can swap their ticket for one with Czech Airlines, subject to a 50 euro (£42) fee.

Petr Pistelak, the carrier's vice president of marketing, stated that this will be available for those who have purchased flights for between July 1st and December 31st.

He added: "We see the current offer rather as a helpful hand extended to those passengers who are currently finding themselves in a complicated situation or might fear that they cannot avoid one."

Mr Pistelak went on to say the firm is offering a "simple solution and the certainty of an established carrier".

The offer is available for passengers booking with airlines such as easyJet, bmibaby and Ryanair on flights to destinations including Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.

Music lovers taking flights to Amsterdam this summer may want to catch the legendary U2 at the Amsterdam ArenA on July 20th and 21st.
