City Break Dublin

On a city break in Dublin, you will soon realise that the city's reputation for friendliness and convivial drinking establishments is true to life – but that Dublin has so much more to offer as well.

The newly confident Dublin, riding the wave of an economic boom, is easily explored on foot and boasts the style and sophistication of some of Europe's finest cities, something which can especially be seen in the Temple Bar area's blend of cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs.

However, the city still retains its traditional Irish charms, centred around its fine Medieval and Georgian architecture, the respected Trinity College and its many traditional myths and legends, symbolised by the statue of Molly Malone at the bottom of Grafton Street.

Among the many things to discover on a city break are the famous Guinness Storehouse and St James' Gate Brewery, the 18th century Dublin Castle and the National Gallery, featuring works by Caravaggio as well as a broad collection of Irish painting.

Famously home to such eminent artists and writers as James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, the cultural scene in Dublin is still vibrant, with theatre, cinema, and musical events widespread.
