Being a member of the Star Alliance also means that if you are a member of Lufthansa's loyalty card scheme, Miles and More, you have the option of earning and spending rewards on flights with any of its alliance partner airlines.
Miles and More presents customers with a great opportunity to get a little back from their airfares, and reward points can be spent on a range of treats, such as bonus flights, gifts from the Lufthansa shop, or car rental. Changes to the loyalty programme means that rewards can now be redeemed on children's tickets, as well as one-way flights.
Lufthansa can trace its roots back to an airline which was created in 1926, giving it a long history of offering convenient flights and great customer service. Over the years, the airline has been recognised many times for its quality flights.
It recently received four awards in Monocle magazine's Travel Top Fifty, including Best Lounge for its Munich suite and Best Inflight Internet.
