Established over 80 years ago, Iberia currently operates flights to 117 destinations in 43 countries worldwide, a figure which rises to 189 airports across more than 70 nations when code-sharing deals are taken into account. The airline has taken on the concept of electronic tickets in a big way, more than 14,000 passengers using auto check-in online every day in 2008.

In addition to passenger and freight transport, Iberia conducts maintenance for its own fleet and the convoys of more than 100 other airlines and is active in aircraft and passenger handling services in 41 Spanish airports.
This year, Iberia was voted the World's Best Airline by readers of prestigious magazine CondeNast Traveler. It was also named the Best Business Travel Provider by the Guild of European Business Travel Provider in 2008.
