A
smaller regional airline, City Airline is based in Gothenburg
in Sweden. The airline operates flights in and out of Birmingham
and Manchester airports in the UK, offering a large number of
direct flights to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
The
times of flights from Manchester and Birmingham to Gothenburg
are also designed to allow passengers to catch a connecting flight
to Helsinki every weekday, with only a short stop made in Gothenburg.
City Airline also operates flights between Gothenburg and Lyon,
Zurich, Hensinki, Lulea and Visby and will soon be opening up
a new flight route between Bromma and Kristianstad in Sweden.
City Airline offers its high quality flights using a fleet of
five Embraer 135 and Embraer 145 aeroplanes, which have a capacity
of 37 and 49 seats respectively. It also has one SAAB 2000 aircraft,
which can carry 50 passengers.
Offering
its passengers an intimate atmosphere and attentive service, City
Airline is far from being a budget airline, although there are some
cheap airfares to be had. With regular special offers and promotions
being launched, make sure you book your ticket through Major Travel
for the best choice of cheap flights available.
City Airline
has recently entered into a codeshare agreement with Scandinavian
airline SAS, meaning that it can now offer its customers participation
in the SAS Eurobonus frequent flier scheme.
This means
that passengers with City Airline can also earn points on SAS flights,
which can be used to save money on future flights, or to upgrade
classes on your SAS flight, making your airfare even better value
for money.
On board a City Airline flight, passengers
can look forward to enjoying a high standard of service. The aircraft
used by City Airline are fast, quiet and environmentally friendly,
helping you to relax throughout the flight.
The leather
seats on-board come with plenty of legroom and meals are always
offered, as are a selection of hot and cold drinks. Passengers on
morning flights with City Airline can expect to enjoy a delicious
breakfast, while on an evening flight, a salad and/or a hot meal
will be available.
In addition to its scheduled flight
services, City Airline operates chartered flight services, as well
as leasing its aircraft to other carriers and acting as a codeshare
partner for flights to other European hubs.
With its Gothenburg
hub, City Airline is based in a natural centre point between the
major business centres of Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm and is
encouraging more and more companies to set up in the Gothenburg
region.
Gothenburg is a very pleasant city for a business
or a leisure trip, with the sea and archipelago nearby and a range
of parks, gardens and canals to enjoy.
