China
Airlines should not be confused with Air China and despite its name
does not fly to mainland China.
The airline is in fact the
flag carrier of the Republic of China in Taiwan and belongs to the
government controlled China Aviation Development Foundation.
The airline was founded in 1959 and since then has added dozens of
cities to it destination list covering five continents from Madrid
to Malaysia and from Abu Dhabi to Alaska.
It is based at
Chiang Kai-shek International Airport and has headquarters in Taipei.
Currently Manchester is the only UK destination (and you'll have to
package yourself up for a cargo plane).
Through its many
code share agreements with other airlines, China Airlines can also
offer travellers cheap airfares on flights to many other destinations
and with new partnerships taking place all the time new destinations
are sure to be added.
For the cheapest China Airlines airfares
around, make sure you book your flight through Major Travel.
Having
installed a live television service via its Connexion by Boeing (CBB)
high-speed internet service on January 23rd this year flights are

flying in a China Airlines' aircraft.
The new live global
television service offers passengers four channels of live television
programming from their laptops. The television programming consists
of CNBC, MSNBC, Eurosportnews and BBC World.
Passengers
carrying laptops with wireless web cards can access to internet by
paying
in advance. China Airlines now offers this cutting-edge internet access
service on the Taipei-San Francisco route.
