Air Namibia links London Gatwick airport with Namibia, one of this year's hottest destinations.

Offering cheap airfares on flights three times a week to and from London Gatwick to its base airport, Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, the airline also operates flights from Windhoek to Frankfurt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Hosea Kutako International Airport is located 45km east of Windhoek. The city can be reached in about half an hour from the airport via shuttle, taxi or car. Eros Airport is 5km south of Windhoek city centre and around 45km from Hosea Kutako. It also has restaurant facilities as well as taxi and car rental available.

As there is little time difference between Europe and Namibia, passengers on international flights arrive refreshed and do not have to worry about jetlag.

The national airline, Air Namibia was originally founded in 1946 as South West Air Transport and went through several name changes over the years. The Windhoek to London flight route was started in 1992.
