Founded in 1981, Air
Europa offers convenient connections combined with a high-quality
service and operates a modern fleet comprising of 32 next generation
Boeing aircraft and an Airbus A340 aeroplane.
In 1993 it
became the first private company in Spain to operate domestic flights,
thus challenging flag bearer Iberia's monopoly and proving itself
as a leader in air travel.
In 2002, Air Europa implemented
wing-lets technology on its B737-800 aircraft, which reduces both
fuel consumption and pollution significantly.
Air Europa's
loyalty programme, Fidelitas, was launched in 2000 and now has over
130,000 members enjoying its benefits.
Cardholders can receive
points which can be redeemed against flights or gifts just for taking
a flight with Air Europa, or for using the products and services of
partner companies.
Holders of an Air Europa Fidelitas card
can also benefit from 5kg of free extra baggage allowance and priority
on waiting lists, among other perks.
Air Europa states that
it is committed to establishing new standards in customer service
and convenience, and aims to offer a combination of domestic and international
flights in many locations around the world.
For those who
don't mind spending a little more on top of their airfare, Air Europa
passengers travelling in any class can access VIP lounges for the
price of a small upgrade.
The service offers extra comfort
and calm, with free drinks and snacks available before the flight,
as well as international newspapers, email, fax and TV.
During
the flight, all Air Europa customers can enjoy watching the latest
blockbusters on video, or reading the in-flight magazine as well as
high quality and varied food to cater for any taste.
Air
Europa has been confirmed as one of the future associate members of
the prestigious SkyTeam alliance, one of the world's largest airline
alliances, meaning it will soon be able to offer its passengers an
even wider range of convenient destinations and great value airfares. |
